The transient is possibly associated with UGC05376; an r=12.94 mag galaxy found in the NED/NED-D/SDSS/LASR/DESI catalogues. Its located 11.41" N, 6.26" W (2.6 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 41.0 Mpc(z=0.007) implies a m - M = 33.06.
