The transient is possibly associated with NGC4334; a W1=10.04 mag galaxy found in the NED-D/LASR catalogues. Its located 22.17" N, 130.04" E (23.5 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 36.7 Mpc(z=0.014) implies a m - M = 32.82.
