The transient is possibly associated with NGC4276; an r=12.73 mag galaxy found in the NED/NED-D/SDSS/LASR/DESI catalogues. Its located 8.35" S, 14.35" E (2.2 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 27.9 Mpc(z=0.009) implies a m - M = 32.23.
