The transient is possibly associated with NGC4276; an r=12.73 mag galaxy found in the NED-D/SDSS/DESI/LASR catalogues. Its located 12.29" S, 15.46" E (2.7 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 27.9 Mpc(z=0.009) implies a m - M = 32.23.
