The transient is possibly associated with NGC4342; a W1=9.25 mag galaxy found in the NED-D/LASR catalogues. Its located 18.60" S, 1.60" E (1.5 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 16.8 Mpc(z=0.003) implies a m - M = 31.13.
