The transient is possibly associated with VCC0740; an r=16.17 mag galaxy found in the NED/NED-D/SDSS/LASR catalogues. Its located 3.53" N, 9.96" E (2.2 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 44.1 Mpc(z=0.003) implies a m - M = 33.22.
