The transient is possibly associated with NGC4342; a J=9.95 mag galaxy found in the NED-D/LASR/PS1/DESI/2MASS catalogues. Its located 2.90" N, 8.90" E (0.7 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 16.8 Mpc(z=0.003) implies a m - M = 31.13.
