The transient is possibly associated with NGC4343; an r=11.86 mag galaxy found in the NED/NED-D/SDSS/DESI/LASR catalogues. Its located 9.39" S, 9.60" E (1.7 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 26.8 Mpc(z=0.003) implies a m - M = 32.14.
