The transient is possibly associated with NGC3117; a J=11.45 mag galaxy found in the NED/NED-D/SDSS/DESI/PS1/2MASS catalogues. Its located 5.70" S, 3.80" E (3.4 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 102.0 Mpc(z=0.023) implies a m - M = 35.04.
