The transient is possibly associated with ESO250-G009; a J=13.30 mag galaxy found in the LASR/2MASS/DESI catalogues. Its located 2.51" N, 1.96" W (0.7 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.013 implies a m - M = 33.71.
