The transient is possibly associated with IC3259; an r=11.73 mag galaxy found in the NED-D/SDSS/PS1/LASR/DESI catalogues. Its located 1.95" S, 1.66" E (0.2 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 18.4 Mpc(z=0.005) implies a m - M = 31.32.
