The transient is possibly associated with NGC4276; an r=12.95 mag galaxy found in the NED/NED-D/SDSS/LASR catalogues. Its located 24.31" S, 10.67" W (3.6 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 27.9 Mpc(z=0.009) implies a m - M = 32.23.
