The transient was discovered on 11th June 2024 at 05:20:13 (MJD 60472.22) by ZTF as ZTF24aarndoh with a discovery magnitude of g = 19.00. It was subsequently classified as a SN Ia at z = 0.074.
Sherlock Contextual Classification
Prediction: Supernova
The transient is possibly associated with NGC4353; a W1=12.63 mag galaxy found in the LASR catalogue. Its located 213.97" S, 17.16" W (16.5 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.004 implies a m - M = 31.02.
