The transient is possibly associated with VCC0740; an r=15.57 mag galaxy found in the NED/NED-D/SDSS/LASR/DESI catalogues. Its located 4.10" N, 11.40" E (2.4 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 44.1 Mpc(z=0.003) implies a m - M = 33.22.
