The transient is possibly associated with NGC4276; a J=11.66 mag galaxy found in the NED/NED-D/SDSS/LASR/DESI/2MASS/PS1 catalogues. Its located 0.79" S, 1.68" W (0.2 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 27.9 Mpc(z=0.009) implies a m - M = 32.23.
