The transient was discovered on 11th December 2020 at 10:38:26 (MJD 59194.44) by ZTF as ZTF20acwombm with a discovery magnitude of g = 19.73. It was subsequently classified as a SN Ia at z = 0.124.

Sherlock Contextual Classification

Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with 2MASXJ10032206%2B0250007; an r=16.16 mag galaxy found in the NED/NED-D/SDSS catalogues. Its located 19.15" N, 4.21" W (40.0 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 421.0 Mpc(z=0.103) implies a m - M = 38.12.
