The transient is possibly associated with ESO250-G009; a J=13.30 mag galaxy found in the LASR/2MASS/DESI catalogues. Its located 2.12" N, 2.78" E (0.9 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.013 implies a m - M = 33.71.
